Everyone is entitled to my opinion.

WILL TRUMP LAST?  YES!
November 12, 2016

The press and many others talking about the election and what it means, what will happen, etc. are fools. Even the Republicans in Congress are fools.

Pundits predict that Mike Pence will be the real power behind the throne because he understands government. Many believe Trump will be impeached and Pence will go on to manifest Republican doctrines. Some think that Trump will rely on him. Some think that the Republicans will be able to control Trump.

I disagree.

People have yet to understand reality. They live in a world that ended with the election.

Pence is the puppet, the straw man that exists simply to follow form. He is nothing more than a diversionary target set up to shield the Trumpers. If anyone doubts this assertion, re-watch Trump’s acceptance speech and see how little regard Trump gave to his VP standing off in a corner. Trump almost forgot to shake his hand, and when he did, he jerked Pence violently toward him—twice, at least. Watch the videos. Body movement is loud and clear, and those jerking handshakes nearly pulled Pence off his feet.

The real power behind, on, around the throne, is Donald Trump.

He takes no prisoners. He has strong people in his court.

On January 20, 2017, Trump will become the single most powerful individual in the entire world. He will have US Congress, the courts, the treasury and the military at his disposal. He will not give up the enormous psychological, economic and military power he has gained. The Republican Party has a lion by the tail. He has claws, and he will use them. We know from his past that he hits hard and fast, below the belt, and his team is as vile as he is.

My Prediction

Trump will last the entire eight years (barring some unforeseen, unlikely action like assassination, and presuming we still have defined terms of office). His sons will then take the helm, one at a time: Donald Trump, Jr., then Eric Trump, and we will have at least 24 years of Trump Presidencies up to the year 2040. The youngest Trump, Barron, born in March 2006 will be 34 years old on Inauguration Day in January 2041— less than two months shy of the minimum age of 35 required for the presidency, as per the Constitution—if it still exists then.

Lest you think that the Trump Dynasty is a foolish notion, remember that Trump has been training his sons and son-in-law throughout his entire campaign. They were his partners, cutting deals, searching for a malleable vice president, organizing rallies. They are now actively involved in the transition team and will be actively involved in running the government. They will be primed and ready to go when The Donald is done.

How will Trump survive?

We've seen him in action. Trump does not play by the rules. There is no rule, no law, no moral precept that applies to him, and especially once he has the full power of the United States of America.

I predict that any congressional move to impeach him will be met with an immediate, harsh personal vendetta. Like any good dictator, all he has to do is take down ONE Republican opponent harshly, quickly, publicly, and all the rest of Congress will be cowed into obedience.

My guess is that Trump’s fall guy will be someone like Paul Ryan. Ryan still believes in the rule of law. He thinks that the GOP and Congress are still in control, that there are procedures, etc., to follow. Ryan is young, intelligent, articulate, a Republican poster child, someone the Republicans would love to have as the Presidential candidate following a Trump administration. He would be easy to metaphorically knock off.

So how will Trump do it?

He will begin by using the age old tactics of propaganda. The first Republican Senator or Representative who hints at opposing Trump will receive Trump’s full, undiluted attention. As he took HRC down, the Trump machine will use lies, hacked emails, etc., to vilify or smear the credibility and reputation of his opponent. This effectively neutralizes opposition, as Trump’s target will be too busy fighting off these charges to function in the political arena. This is the same strategy the GOP planned to use against HRC if she were elected.

If that does not shut his opponent down, Trump will tighten the noose. IRS will investigate his opponent’s taxes. Trumpers (via his sons or minions) will file a crippling lawsuit against his opponent, or use his own Attorney General to initiate a CRIMINAL investigation to silence his fall guy. No holds barred, he will have that person impeached and kicked out of Congress.

The rest of the Republicans—those wimpy, quaking, toothpicks fearful of women, blacks, immigrants, the religious right, democracy, and their own shadows—will all fall into lock step and shut their mouths.

So what do we do? Understand our reality and stop fantasizing about some orderly future. It is a different world. It is up to us to find ways of dealing with it. We have to be creative, organized, and move quickly. Now.

If I'm wrong, we can all celebrate.
